Priming notes
STP units are self-priming trash pumps: the casing holds a liquid charge that lets the pump re-prime on its own after the initial fill.
- Prime the casing once at start-up; the retained charge lets the pump re-prime automatically afterwards.
- Large solids-handling volute with a clean-out cover for field access to the impeller and wear plate.
- Suction lift to roughly 25 ft with an airtight suction hose and foot valve where required.
