APCD Series

APCD Auto-Prime Series

The APCD Series is comprised of pumps and parts that are 100% interchangeable with the Godwin® CD Series. This series is ideal for dewatering and sewer bypass applications, transporting solids-handling fluids, sludge and raw sewage.

Engineered with a venturi prime system, these pumps prime automatically from dry up to 28' of suction lift. A liquid-bath mechanical seal design allows them to run dry indefinitely. Available trailer-mount, skid-mount and sound-attenuated configurations.

Auto-prime notes

Every APCD unit is a dry-prime, diaphragm-assisted vacuum pump: the compressor-driven priming system pulls air out of the suction line so the pump primes and re-primes itself without an operator at the unit.

  • Fully automatic dry prime — the vacuum system evacuates the suction line and shuts off once liquid reaches the pump end.
  • Run-dry capable: the mechanical seal is oil-lubricated in its own chamber, so snore and dry-run conditions do not damage the seal faces.
  • Continuous snore operation for sump and wellpoint duty — the pump re-primes each time the level recovers.
  • Suction lift to roughly 28 ft of static lift; keep suction hose runs short and airtight for the fastest prime time.
  • Priming times shorten with a flooded suction and lengthen on long, high-lift suction lines.
  • Air-handling separation chamber keeps carryover out of the vacuum pump on entrained-air applications.
  • Auto start/stop float control and the critically silenced enclosure make unattended overnight bypass duty practical.

Applications

Typical duty

  • Construction dewatering
  • Sewer bypass
  • Municipal wastewater
  • Flood and emergency response

Configuration options

  • Highway trailer, single-axle site trailer or bolt-down skid base
  • Diesel engine or electric motor drive
  • Critically silenced acoustic enclosure (~69 dBA at 30 ft)
  • Extended-run fuel cells and containment bases
  • Ductile iron wet end with open impeller for solids passage
